A solution-oriented engineering company with a focus in the automotive industry is seeking a Senior Data & Vehicle Support Engineer to form part of their EV product development team. The duties will include, but are not limited to, leading and directing the development of telematics systems for current commercial vehicle fleets; evaluating and testing telematics solutions by integrating hardware- and software components on test vehicles; being responsible for the configuration, setup, and maintenance of telematics solutions and data dashboards; supporting the development of API- and data management interfaces to back-end data solutions; taking responsibility for data processing and providing data analysis support as required to client- and engineering users; documentation, verification, and testing of telematics functionality, including UDS and OTA capabilities; liaising with back-end solution providers on project implementation, testing, and maintenance; contributing to the design, setup, and maintenance of data dashboards and interfaces to data users; and leading telematics system improvement and technology integration in line with automotive industry standards and emerging technologies. |
| Key Requirements: |
BEng or MEng degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering and 5–10 years’ experience. Experience using telematics systems and components, including data management and data dashboards; installation and management of Linux-based software for telematics hardware units; and proficient in interpreting vehicle log data to support data analysis as applicable to client reports and electric vehicle architecture design. The idea candidate should have knowledge of Matlab for use in data processing, Cybersecurity and OTA principles, J1030 CAN communication and associated test tools/equipment, and electric vehicle systems. |
