An analytical testing laboratory is seeking a motivated BSc Agriculture graduate to join their Agricultural Sales Team as an Account Manager. The role combines pesticide testing services with agronomic consultancy, driving new business, managing client relationships, and providing technical guidance to optimise crop production and quality. The Account Manager will focus on citrus, avocado, and subtropical fruit clients, working closely with the Head of Pesticides to grow the customer base and ensure high-quality advisory and laboratory services. The duties will include, but are not limited to, selling pesticide services and agronomy consultancy, developing and maintaining a database of leads and clients, implementing sales and marketing plans with the Head of Agriculture, and providing timely reports and updates; understanding and advising on MRL analyses, assisting clients in interpreting lab results, and ensuring compliance with client and industry requirements; assisting the agronomist with agronomic advice and conducting farm visits to assess client needs; prospecting and inducting new clients, conducting regular interactions and follow-ups, resolving client queries and complaints, and maintaining accurate client records; identifying new business opportunities, networking with stakeholders and attending relevant events, and maintaining an updated, market-segmented database; and optimising efficiency and departmental systems, submitting daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports, as well as support management with ad hoc tasks. |
