Here’s where your homework comes in. Explain why their values and mission resonate with you. Mention publications or achievements that have drawn you to them.
Why do you want this job?
Unfortunately, “to pay my bills” is not the correct answer…. Explain briefly how your skills and experience will help you to be successful in the role. Discuss how this role would allow you to grow in your career while also contributing to the success of the company.
What makes you unique?
Don’t be afraid to sell yourself. Mention your strengths. Discuss challenges you’ve overcome that have provided you with invaluable experience and knowledge. Mention what your superiors have praised you for.
What are your greatest strengths?
Briefly mention your positive attributes and include an example to substantiate your statement. Link these attributes back to the position you are applying for.

This can be a selling point. Briefly mention your weaknesses. Discuss how you are working to improve them. Being able to identify your weaknesses and how to improve them shows that you are self-aware and genuinely committed to growth and development!
