Description:A dairy company requires an Group Quality Manager to join their team and will oversee the quality assurance and control processes across two manufacturing plants. Key duties include: Develop, implement, and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures across both manufacturing plants. Oversee quality control processes at every stage of production, from raw material sourcing to finished product packaging. Ensure all products and processes comply with local, state, and federal food safety regulations. Prepare for and lead regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring both plants meet required standards. Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP). Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Utilize data and metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions. Manage and mentor quality assurance teams at both manufacturing plants. Provide training and development opportunities to ensure staff are knowledgeable about quality standards and best practices. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the consistent quality of raw materials and ingredients. Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations. Investigate and address customer complaints related to product quality. Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence. Identify potential risks to product quality and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement robust food safety and quality control measures to prevent contamination and ensure product safety. Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities and results. Prepare detailed reports for senior management on quality performance and improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field with at least 10 years’ experience in a quality management role within the food manufacturing industry. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, ISO) essential. Proven track record of managing quality assurance across multiple sites. Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
