| Description: |
A supplier of laboratory chemicals, consumables, and instrumentation is seeking an Internal Sales Specialist to join their team. The duties will include, but are not limited to, promoting and selling all the company’s existing products; having knowledge of the company’s products and offerings; quoting customers and giving customer support before and after sales; meeting sales targets set periodically by the company; participating in company promotional events; looking for new product supply opportunities based on customer requirements; answering telephone and handling communications, including electronic communications; doing sales quotations and converting them t sales orders on the company system as well as dealing with walk-in customers; contacting suppliers for product information and pricing; being aware of competitors’ products and pricing and communicating information available to superiors; growing the brand and brand awareness of the company; submitting reports to management on a variety of topics as and when required; and assisting in any other sections of the company. |
| Key Requirements: |
Matric and a Diploma as well as a minimum 5 years’ experience in an administrative/customer-based role is required. Experience working on an ERP system with products/quotes is preferable. A valid driver’s license and own transport is required. |

The ideal candidate must be extremely punctual, be able to apply a high level of accuracy and care, must enjoy working with people and have the ability to handle customers and their queries/problems with confidence and patience, and must show initiative. |
