An FMCG company that imports and distributes a range of products is seeking a skilled Key Accounts Manager to oversee the relationships of the company with some of its most important clients in the FMCG Foods Industry. The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by understanding their requirements and contributing to the sustainability and growth of the business to achieve long-term success. The duties will include, but are not limited to, developing trust relationships with a portfolio of key retailers, to ensure they do not turn to competition; acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer’s needs and requirements; expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives; ensuring the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner; serving as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams; resolving any issues and problems faced by customers and dealing with complaints to maintain trust; playing an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships; and preparing regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics. Key Requirements: |
A degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is required in addition to proven experience as a Key Accounts Manager. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG Sales is required, of which 2 years was as Key Account Manager. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in Pick ‘n Pay Key Accounts at National Buying level. A valid driver’s license and reliable, well-maintained vehicle is required. All candidates should already reside in Cape Town. |
