Description:A supplier of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments is seeking a National Sales Manager to join their team. The National Sales Manager will supervise the sales team and be responsible for developing and maintaining successful relationships with large, distributed customers. The duties will include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, leading nationwide sales team members in achieving their sales targets, establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts, negotiating and closing agreements with large customers, monitoring and analysing performance metrics and suggesting improvements, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts, performing research and identifying new potential customers and market opportunities, providing timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs, liaising with the Marketing and Product Managers departments to ensure brand consistency, and staying up to date with new product launches.
Key Requirements:A Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent. Minimum 7 years middle management level experience and 5–7 years Sales and Marketing experience in the Scientific and Laboratory Industry. Knowledge of Commercial compliance and Industry Specific Business practices. A good working knowledge of Human Resource legislation, procedures and practices.
Additional Requirements:The candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in managing sales teams within the Scientific and Laboratory Industry, excellent leadership skills and the ability to provide operational oversight, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders, executive decision-making and analytical skills, and excellent negotiating skills.
