A new alginate processing facility is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to play a key role in the design, commissioning, and operation of their new Alginate Processing Plant. The successful candidate will provide critical input during the design and construction phases and will take full responsibility for plant operations post-commissioning. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, contributing to the design and layout of the plant to ensure optimal efficiency; overseeing the commissioning of the facility, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and regulatory requirements; managing the Environmental Impact Assessment process and ensuring alignment with IDZ requirements; leading the hiring, training, and development of the operational team; and taking full accountability for production, quality control, maintenance, and safety. | Key Requirements: |
A Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; 10–15 years’ experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or plant management; and proven experience in plant commissioning, operations, and ISO9001 implementation. A Master’s in Business Administration would be advantageous. |

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Being fluent in English and Afrikaans and understanding/speaking Xhosa or French would be advantageous. |
