DescriptionA leading global manufacturer of matrix-matched certified reference materials, primarily catering to the mining and exploration industries, is expanding into the agricultural sector and requires an experienced Quality Specialist to join its team.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Agriculture proficiency testing program: Coordinate project tasks for the proficiency testing programs; assist with the production sheets and oversee the production process to ensure samples comply as per the SOPs; maintain the Macros software; compile the Agriculture Certificates; compile PT reports and share the reports with customers timeously; attend to queries and requests by customers and service providers.
Quality Management: Ensure QMS ISO Compliance- ISO9001; ISO17034; ISO17043; conduct internal ISO audits; reduce NCRs – complete investigation and loop closure to customers; reduce customer complaints; ensure SOP compliance & review; create deviations for all SOP non-compliance.
Compliance (NNR, DMRE, SHEQ): Compile waste reports; complete annual inspections; monthly TLD monitoring: receive data and compile reports; attend monthly SHEQ meetings, inspections and reports; coordinate and maintain all SHEQ training for personnel.
Administration: Document control, system and record control/ad hoc duties; review and assess all PT laboratories to ensure necessary compliance and accreditations; SLA management system for all participating laboratories; review of all compilation and statistical evaluation of laboratory results; strict control and measures in place to manage time management of all PT schemes.
•Maintaining key relationships with customers and business partners at the highest technical levels, internal and external business teams, service providers and suppliers.
Key Requirements:BSc in Agriculture or Chemistry; Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role; Registration with a relevant statutory body (e.g., SACNASP); Knowledgeable in ISO, agricultural analytical chemistry, statistics, laboratory quality assurance and metrology regulation; Extensive knowledge of chemical methods and principles.
