Location:Johannesburg based (supporting Mpumalanga and Limpopo)
Description:A diagnostic and life-science company that supplies and supports a comprehensive range of high-tech equipment and associated consumables and general laboratory items require a dynamic Sales Specialist.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
•Achieve and exceed budgets within territory, relevant customer accounts and product budgets
•Promote the company’s product portfolio to existing and new customers
•Implement, monitor and ensure total territorial coverage
•Plan appointments and specifications for sales call and visit customers according to sales and customer strategy
•Effectively following up and concluding long term high value projects
•New Business Development: Account focused marketing Strategies towards achieving and exceeding growth targets
•Develop and implement tactical plans to realise new growth opportunities and pro-actively monitor opportunities for new business
•Comply with required internal processes and reporting to ultimately deliver growth and manage sales performance
•Prepare and submit sales and marketing strategies in line with the available budget
•Prepare sales and marketing material for the portfolio
•Plan and organize sponsored events, congresses, and lectures
•Provide customers with relevant product information and resolve queries timeously
•Convey good product knowledge to customers in various industries
•Solve customer queries and complaints
•Continuous relationship building with all stakeholders
Key Requirements:Relevant BSc degree; 2 years experience in the clinical diagnostics and science markets; 3 years commercial experience required in sales, marketing or business development; Existing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders preferred; experience working with life sciences products will be advantageous.
Additional Requirements:Excellent oral and written communication skills, selling, planning and organizing skills; assertive, self-motivated, and strong aptitude for customer service; willing to travel in South Africa and abroad; valid drivers’ licence and passport.
